PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, 11 February 2019 – Blackwell Global Cambodia, one of the main sponsors of RGS Global’s “Golf for Charity” fundraising event last year on 5 November 2018, together with golf tournament contestants and event partners, raised funds for the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CFF).
RGS Global, a specialist in leveraging local talents to build successful businesses and provide employment opportunities to the growing communities of Cambodia, celebrated its second anniversary by organising the “Golf for Charity” fundraising event.
Held at the Garden City Golf Club in Phnom Penh City and supported by golf enthusiasts and business partners alike, all proceeds from the registration of the 18-hole golf tournament, amounting USD5520, were donated to RGS Global’s charity of choice, the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CFF).
CCF, a non-profit organisation, was founded in 2004 by Scott Neeson, then a Hollywood marketing executive, including tenure as President of 20th Century Fox International. He left his 26-year glamorous career in the film industry to help children in Steung Meanchey, one of the poorest communities in Cambodia’s capital. It currently offers life-changing education programmes to over 2000 students, helped build more than 460 homes, and distribute 47 tons of rice annually to the community.
In the closing speech by Neeson during the prize-giving dinner and charity cheque presentation ceremony held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, he expressed gratitude and assured guests that every dollar raised for the event will go a long way in serving the community.

Avis Wang, Managing Director of Blackwell Global Cambodia shared, “In banding together through golf as our common passion, we were able to raise awareness and contribute to a worthy cause. The Cambodian Children’s Fund’s life-changing social work in Steung Meanchey deserves every help possible from the community.”
Blackwell Global Cambodia, having established itself as one of the main forex brokerages in Cambodia after just two years in the country, is heartened to have aided the social efforts of the local community through this event.
