The Financial Veteran Pledges Commitment and Support for the Industry

Hong Kong, 10 November 2017 – Multi-asset brokerage Blackwell Global Hong Kong’s CEO Gary Cheung was inaugurated on 2 November 2017 as the 20^th Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Association (HKSA) at the association’s 38^th anniversary dinner. Mr. Cheung’s appointment will last for two years, from November 2017 to October 2019. He has taken over this role from Mr. Benny Mau, who served dutifully as Chairman for the last two years. HKSA, established in 1979, has the longest history in the securities and financial sector of Hong Kong as a professional organisation. With Mr. Cheung as Chairman, coupled with his extensive managerial experience in the financial services sector of more than 30 years, he will bring the same standards of transparent leadership and protection of clients’ interests to Blackwell Global Hong Kong. “I’m honoured to accept this title. As the incoming Chairman, and on behalf of the Board, I hereby pledge to dedicate much effort to the services for our members and the securities sector.” said Mr. Gary Cheung, “Hong Kong provides an exciting hub for traders in light of globalisation, regulation transparency, legal framework, favourable geographical features and high degree of liquidity.
